A Simple Guide To Happiness
The more I read the Bible the happier I feel.
The Bible?
‘’But that’s such a boring book. It doesn’t even have a cover, it’s so old and not even relevant for our times.’’
And yet it’s so different to everything I thought it was.
I used to love literature and books. Then a medical trauma left me broken physically and mentally. One of the strange side effects was that I could no longer read fiction, it held no interest for me. I even tried to force myself, but I could neither read it or write it. The world of stories became completely lost to me.
In 2020, things got even worse. Even non-fiction, music, art appeared fake. Almost all of the artists, musicians, writers, talented people, they turned out to be plastic rebels, so few having the integrity to investigate truth, or speak truth, if it would effect their sales.
And then. A book started calling me. A book that I never knew was ⅓ prophecy told me about the times we were living in and the pharmakeia deception.
When I first started to read it I was confused by the complex language (not realising there were different versions). The words sent me to sleep, although I was fascinated by how long people lived back then, in the beginning, 900 years or more.
Then something happened along the way. Called the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit, is like the key, that makes the words come alive. Suddenly they were dancing. Suddenly they were speaking directly to me. Suddenly they were supernatural, a voice soothing me.
For anyone who has ever loved poetry and metaphor, or in fact anyone, it is the ultimate book, to read the words written by the one who created us. The way this writer knits together the world he created with the words on the page just blows my mind. For example Psalm 57 offers us refuge, under the shadows of God’s wings, and he shows us this in nature, where a baby bird rests under his mother’s wings.
“the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
This is the only book that the writer himself will help guide you and reveal the meaning.
If it seems boring, irrelevant, pointless, or manipulated and ‘edited,’ then the writer is always available to show you the truth.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
