Don't be a prisoner of the worship of the sun, the moon and the stars

During the lockdown I became aware that every new moon I would have a massive meltdown, emotions would surge up, and be released, and I could time it by the moon. At the time I thought it was a good thing, as there is healing potential in tears. But I didn’t realise that we can also get locked inside a circle of emotional processing and release. 

The spiritual teachers I would follow would always be talking about certain energies, at full moons, new moons, or mercury retrograde. In fact for us spiritual seekers it seemed that barely a day could go past without some strong energies messing up our sleeping schedules, bringing on intense debilitating emotions and unearthing more baggage to work through. 

It’s only now looking back that I can see it for what it was; demonic oppression. Satanists have their regular rituals and when we turn towards the moon, the stars, and the sun for guidance we are getting caught up in their energy. It might feel healing and beneficial because ‘Satan disguises himself as an angel of light,’ but it is not.

I can remember a couple years back when I was following astrology and looking for hope during the covid times I had an unbearable time during November, as a Scorpio in scorpio session the energy was so intense, I longed for it to be over. 

Last year, it did not even register, and I didn’t even consider ‘scorpio season,’ aside from the fact that I had my birthday. 

Maybe some might say that I’m spiritually numb, spiritually dumb for not feeling the energies, but having been set free by Jesus Christ I know this is not the case. 

We are being spun a lie that following the ever changing position of the sun, and the moon and the stars will help us in our life. In reality it’s a trail of breadcrumbs that will eventually be eaten by the birds. 

God doesn’t promise us a perfect life. In fact many of his disciples were persecuted and killed. Nowadays Christians around the world are the most persecuted belief group there are. Here in the West we experience persecution lite, and people will just think we are very crazy and uncool for following Christ, but things are ramping up. 

But God’s Holy Spirit delivers strength in the most adverse experiences, as opposed to the enemy who will attack us when we are sitting comfortably in our homes, throwing us more dark stuff to ‘process,’  when Jesus offered to carry our entire burden for us. 

Who the son sets free is free indeed - John 8.36.
