It all goes back to the snake
The other day I took on a random job officiating a wedding in Florence. I got a template of the speech and the couple answered a questionnaire so I could personalise it for them. It turned out they were Christians.
As I was looking at the speech template I realised there was a bit in the speech where a ritual took place. The ritual involved binding the couples hands together in the shape of the infinity symbol.
Isn’t that hand fasting, and isn’t it Pagan, I thought to myself. I messaged the woman who hired me to ask if I could take that bit out, as I couldn’t with a good conscience do it. Thankfully she was fine with that.
Then I decided to do a bit of googling into the infinity symbol. Also known as the Ouroborus, a snake eating it’s own tail. Some sources say the infinity symbol was invented by John Wallis, a British mathematician. But the same symbol was used by ancient Greeks, and the Egyptians. It is also a symbol found in Freemasonry. And it just happens to be the new symbol for Facebook (Meta).
The worship of darkness can look very obvious. For example the latest Eurovision song contest (I don’t recommend watching it as to do so is to be drawn into a Satanic ritual, but if you’ve noticed what’s been more and more overt in the music industry these days you will get the picture).
But the one thing I have realised from listening to stories of people who have come from the false light to follow Jesus, is that the devil doesn’t care about your intentions. It might not look like worshipping the devil, it might just look like a lovely ceremony where your hands are bound with silk with the love of your life.
The devil loves to present death as something very natural, and very normal, it’s just the cycle, of death, rebirth, and reincarnation. In reality it’s the snake eating it’s own tail, spinning lies of self-destruction.
And yet the Bible says, ‘it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgement.’ Hebrews 9.27
We only have one life to get it right, and yet Jesus knew we never could. That’s why he died for us.
There is no eternal cycle, but there is getting bound up with the snake.
Only Jesus can set us free.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8.36
