I have chronic fatigue. I don’t usually use that label as my illness is very mild compared to some. I can work around it and being self-employed I can rest when I need to and that helps to optimize my energy. It allows me to live a relatively normal life and most people probably don’t even know I have it.
However if I spend extended periods with other people - like a holiday or if someone comes to visit then it starts to become apparent that compared to other ‘normal’ people I do not have the same energy levels.
Anyway, one area of struggle is keeping up with simple day to day household stuff.
Now, with the law of attraction I would visualize my tidy house and try to imagine how it would feel to have that tidy house. I’d try to ‘attract’ it by trying to have the same vibe as me with a tidy house.
With prayer I would ask. I would bring all my desperation to God, all of my exhaustion and aching limbs and tired body and I might say something like, ‘’I have no idea how I can possibly find the strength to sort out this mess, but if there’s anyway you can guide me and help. I could really do with your help. I can’t do this alone.’’
Now which of these feels real, feels honest?
The law of attraction is fake it till you make it, it’s bypassing all of the realness of feelings to attempt to feel something different.
With prayer I come as my real, true, broken self. It works with who I am in that moment. It doesn’t force me to jump through mental hoops to attempt
a kind of thought perfection.
I believe that prayer is the truth of how our reality works. Its certainly been my experience that beginning a humble and authentic relationship with God is what gets the results.
Instead of law of attraction, maybe law of intention fits better, intention adds that component of faith and probable action.
I think “attraction” is more of an openness, a willingness to “see, hear, accept” this allows for that which you seek, I don’t think it’s magical, but rather mental.
As for prayer, faith, and assisted outcome, I know not how that works.
I like your ideas, thanks for sharing.
